Biography

Hello, my name is Gaby Glassman and I am a member of both the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and the British Psychological Society. I have a Master’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Amsterdam. I have been practicing counselling and psychotherapy for over thirty years offering therapy to adults in the united kingdom struggling with anxiety, trauma, grief and bereavement, depression, eating disorders, health related issues, identity problems, relationships and more. I commenced private work after gaining significant experience and expertise working in the psychiatric department of the national hospital for neurology and neurosurgery in London. This is a centre of excellence in the United Kingdom and we dealt with a significant number of complex cases referred from all over the country. As a consequence, I gained invaluable experience and know-how which enabled me set up my own private practice. I work with adults on both an individual basis and in a group setting, utilising a solution focussed approach using cognitive behavioural therapy techniques on both a short term and longer term basis. I tailor my approach to suit the needs of the client and recent advances in information technology have given me the opportunity to see clients online using live video. This is particularly helpful for clients who are unable to see me because the live far away or find it difficult to attend therapy due to other obligations.
