Hello, my name is Debbie and I am an experienced counsellor with over eighteen years’ experience. I have a BSc in Psychology, MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and a Level 5 Diploma in Relationship Counselling. I have a particular interest in helping people with relationship difficulties, family problems, adoption issues, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, low self-esteem, identity, difficulties at work, OCD, ritualistic and compulsive behaviour patterns, anger management, self-harm, sexual abuse, trauma and bereavement. I work in a relational way, which means we work together on building a therapeutic relationship where warmth and trust can develop. This relationship creates a secure environment from which to talk about and explore complex and painful thoughts, feelings and behaviours. As a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the BACP, I adhere to the associations code of ethics, have regular supervision and participate in ongoing professional development.
